Aviagen is dedicated to supporting growth in Argentina and securing the supply of Ross 308 AP broilers
CAMPINAS, Brazil – Aviagen® Argentina once again participated in Avícola & Porcinos 2025, the leading annual trade fair for Argentina’s poultry and pork industries, held from July 2 to 4 in Buenos Aires. In addition to showcasing its breeding solutions at the company stand, Aviagen sponsored a special customer gathering during the event a special cocktail to celebrate Nacional Poultry Day together with CAPIA (Argentina Poultry Production Association) and CEPA (Poultry Processing Company Center) — an opportunity to strengthen long-standing relationships and reinforce its commitment to the Argentine poultry sector.
Expanding local roots to serve Argentina’s poultry sector
Since announcing its expansion into Argentina in 2021, Aviagen has built up its local operations to ensure a secure and consistent supply of Ross® 308 AP parent stock. With an annual production capacity of 2.1 million chicks, the facility in San Juan includes a grandparent farm and breeder hatchery, making it a fully independent operation.
“Aviagen Argentina’s mission is to support our customers by providing robust, healthy breeding stock and by working side by side with them to meet everyday challenges,” explained General Manager Alejandro Golin.
Golin emphasized that Argentina is a strategic market for Aviagen, thanks to its strong poultry industry and high per-capita chicken consumption — key drivers for the country’s food security and agricultural economy. “We’re deeply committed to the people and poultry producers of Argentina,” he said. “Our presence at Avícola & Porcinos, along with our customer event, reflects our ongoing efforts to help ensure a steady supply of safe, nutritious and sustainable chicken for Argentine families — true to our commitment to Breeding Success Together.”
Supporting customers through knowledge and innovation
Over the course of the three-day event, Aviagen’s customer service and commercial teams connected with producers, technicians, and other industry professionals to share knowledge and highlight the latest developments in poultry genetics.
“Our focus remains on providing the support and solutions our customers need to achieve top results,” added Golin. “That includes enhancing flock health, welfare and efficiency to help them get the most from their Ross 308 AP flocks.”
